Doula Client Testimonials

Birth doula, Hannah Servis, relaxing on the floor as she stares out the window daydreaming about supporting moms in labor and birth.

Hannah is the doula you want, the kind of doula who walks strongly in the incredible gifting God has given her! Below is my genuine and uplifting experience with her:

From the moment Hannah became my doula, she checked in on me with prenatal affirmations, spoke to any fear I was battling, prayed over my birth totally unprompted by me, was truly there to respond to any questions/concerns I had about pregnancy with detailed texts/ audio texts. The beautiful day came for me to give birth and Hannah was the first to arrive from our birthing team. With this being my second birth, it went very quickly (all my second time moms know haha!) I felt such a sense of relief upon her arrival. She jumped into her role immediately with confidence and clarity. She relieved pressure from my lower back and began guiding me with comfort measures for my contractions.
When my midwife arrived shortly after and I was in active labor, Hannah was next to me on the bed quietly praying for me and affirming me throughout my entire labor and even offering up her hand for me to hold and break if need be ;)
Though I was focused on birthing our baby I still appreciated this about having Hannah at our birth:

Her presence is gentle with a strong impact, Authentic creating an immediate feeling of ease and her knowledge in this space  brings a confidence to the situation. Our precious baby was delivered and Hannah was there with me through all of the post birth events; delivering my placenta, getting numbed and sewn up from a small tear, processing my birth afterwards, taking a few photos of sweet post birth moments and even helped me wash off in the shower! Nothing is too “lowly” for her, she truly just wants to serve the mother in this important moment. She was also the last one to leave from our birthing team and just such a calming presence. There is something special about a mom-to-be/ doula relationship- you truly become so close in this expedited yet organic way because you go through such an intimate and huge event of birth together!

Hannah didn’t stop there, she came to our house postpartum, once for an evening where my husband had to be away for a couple of hours four days postpartum so I would not be alone so early in the process then a second full day where she made me breakfast (and brought her yummy homemade scones over!), played with our toddler all day so I could rest and focus on our baby, made me lunch, made sure my Stanley was filled with water, and checked on me throughout the day. At one point, since Hannah was with us all day, and while my children and I were napping, she laid down to rest as well and as all moms know, we can tend to worry about small things those first few days; I was slightly concerned about something with our baby so I called Hannah’s phone to ask her for insight to the situation. She graciously woke from her nap, came to our room and assured me everything was fine (which it was!) Truly just goes beyond the expectation of doula! My midwife even said to me how GREAT of a doula Hannah was and how rare it was to find such a good doula who operated so naturally in her role.

Hannah’s passion for birth is real. Her willingness to serve you through the process is refreshing. Her support is unmatched. Forever grateful the Lord brought us together and that because of having Hannah as my doula, my birthing experience was better for it. Thank you x1000, Hannah!

Hannah is fantastic! I did a Sip and Share with her, it was something I wasn't really sure I needed at the time but was curious about. I had talked about my labor and birth experience with other people but she created a safe space for me to talk about some of the harder parts. She's super knowledgeable and caring. - Mary S.
